Oh, you~ Well, if by “random” you mean dull & whale-related, here you go:
1. I dolphinately whaley love cetaceans. (I’M UNBEARABLE! HAVE I LOST YOU ALREADY? )
2. I’ve detested the taste of any & all seafood since childhood. I eat nothing from the ocean, much to chagrin of my isleño family!
2. When I was I kid, I stood right up against the tank in Marine Land just as an orca sped along the edge. I got so drenched that my parents bought me new clothes from a gift shop.
3. When I was even younger, I was chosen from the audience in Loro Parque to be pulled around in a little boat by the dolphins, but I was apparently too scared & cried instead.
4. I don’t support cetaceans in captivity. I assure you, whale watching is so much more thrilling! (psst - I highly recommend The Cove!)
5. In fact, I once moved to a small seaside town for a work opportunity largely because whale watching was one of the main industries. :/
6. While WW on a miserably rainy day, I slipped down the boat’s staircase (u_u’) & bruised my butt big time. But we saw a lot of whale action, soOo…worth it?
7. I’ve gone WW on 4 different occasions in 3 countries.
8. I’ve seen sperm whales, pilot whales, minke whales & fin whales.
9. My dream is to witness a whale breach.
10. Oh, and also to kayak with the orcas in British Columbia!
